Maintenance Supervisor - Kanowna Belle

Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Mechanical Maintenance team at our Kanowna Belle Operations in Kalgoorlie, on a residential basis.
As the Maintenance Supervisor at Kanowna Belle, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent, and the primary role is to lead the Maintenance Operations team in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory, Company and OHS&E and company operational standards within the Maintenance Department.
This is a residential role based at our Kanowna Belle Operations on a 5/2/4/3 roster (10 hour days) and enjoy a long weekend every two weeks. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region.
Required qualifications:
- Frontline management or equivalent desirable.
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
Desired Experience and Competencies:
- Current Police Clearance
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance principals and their application in practice
- Sound knowledge of operation of fixed processing plant equipment
- High level of knowledge in statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to plant maintenance and classified plant
- Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, in particular Pronto and MS Office
- Solid awareness of Maintenance Management Systems and maintenance practices in a processing environment
- Ability to plan and or anticipate likely scenarios as related to all key responsibility areas
- Able to effectively allocate the organisation's resources to achieve business requirements
- Lead Contractor work groups plant during shutdowns to achieve high scheduled compliance to agreed plan.
- Ability to develop appropriate action plans in order to respond to current and emerging issues.
- A trade qualification (desirable)
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
- Awareness of the Worker Health and Safety Act & Regulations
