In this role, you will be coordinating depot operations and supervising drivers. It is a requirement that you hold a clean MR truck licence - minimum, since you will provide coverage for driver absence. The role is 50/50 filling cylinders and operations.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- Supervise depot operations and transport staff in accordance with site Safety rules and daily production requirements.
- In addition, you will maintain the Toowoomba depot to a high standard; supervise all activities and contractors on site, compete startup and shutdown procedures, maintain good housekeeping at the depot, monitor and manage stock levels and complete weekly checks.
- Providing supervision and hands on support in filling and testing of LPG cylinders, you will also support with gas cylinder deliveries to domestic and commercial customers in a safe manner, obeying all road rules and complying with Linde internal standards and policies.
- Manage day to day driver activities such as rostering, logbook / timesheet checks, allocation of delivery schedules
- Working collaboratively with the local customer service and management team to ensure Elgas provides exceptional on time service to our customers is key for this position
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- In possession of five (5) years+ in manufacturing/production or transport occupations, you have strong supervisory experience
- Proven safety leadership and ability to manage contractors
- Previous experience with LPG or in DG would be an advantage
- Holder of an MR truck license - 3 years minimum experience (HR preferred)
- Also a Forklift License (essential)
