The role
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated Tradesperson based at our Stapylton site. This role will be great for anyone who wants to develop their leadership skills while continuing to utilise your hands-on technical experience.
In this role you will be able to apply your technical expertise working in a team environment and autonomously on plant maintenance. Great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Hands-on supervision of the day-to-day activities for the maintenance team (Mechanical and Electrical trades)
- Providing leadership and commitment to safety, quality, and the environment
- Ensuring the activities of maintenance personnel are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets.
- Assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of adherence to new maintenance procedures, processes, and technology
- Carrying out repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive / preventative maintenance.
- Work closely with Plant Managers and Operators during breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting issues.
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
- Perform major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
- Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
- Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required.
What you will need to succeed
- Trade qualified (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Preferably with a background in heavy industry
- A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
- A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
- Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
- Basic computer skills
- High Risk Forklift license – desirable but not essential
- Working at Heights, Confined Space – desirable but not essential
- EWP tickets – desirable but not essential
