The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Lakeside.
Nestled on the beautiful Lake Macquarie, in the heart of Bonnells Bay, this Lakeside community offers superb facilities, a vibrant, supportive environment and a tranquil setting for our residents and their families.
As a Maintenance Supervisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, strong computer skills and a knack for problem-solving.
The successful candidate will support the close-knit team on a fulltime basis, from Monday to Friday. No weekend work!
Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include;
- Coordinating and undertaking maintenance[KB1] tasks, repairs, and inspections for residential properties
- Assisting with basic handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installations
- Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors
- Communicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Collaborating with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordingly
- Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager
About You
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Hold a trade qualification, with proven experience in the building industry or in a similar role
- Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Have effective communication skills
- An excellent understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
- A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
- Be computer literate e.g. intermediate/basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
- Have the ability to take initiative and be pro-active
- Have the ability to work individually and in a team
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence, with experience driving a manual vehicle
Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
