AddressJoin Sell and Parker as an Afternoon Shift Maintenance Supervisor at our Blacktown site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role requires a qualified and experienced individual to oversee preventative and reactive maintenance operations.
As the Afternoon Shift Maintenance Supervisor, you'll manage maintenance operations on a diverse range of equipment, including static shears up to 1400T, a 4000hp scrap metal fragmentizing shredder, various conveyor systems, state-of-the-art nonferrous sorting equipment, and mobile machinery like material handlers, excavators, forklifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders.
Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance for various equipment.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance staff. Including Fitters, Electricians, Plumbers, Trade assistants and Labourers.
- Ensure timely evaluation of work requests and monitoring of maintenance performance.
- Collaborate with management and colleagues to sustain a positive work environment.
- Hands-on supervision of maintenance activities.
- Planning and executing preventative maintenance and repair projects.
- Opportunities to work on large projects within Sell and Parker
- Determining materials, equipment, and supplies needed.
- Manage stock levels and orders when necessary.
- Australian recognised trade qualification with mechanical engineering trade cert 3 or above.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Metal, Manufacturing, or Mining Industry.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance teams.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience with fixed plants, and mobile equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. With troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Commitment to health and safety, training, and skill improvement.
- Ability to use or willing to learn our preventive maintenance program Fixx
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in work instruction and risk assessment document writing for projects and work tasks.
- Ability to attain and retain fitness for work.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and clear Police Check.

Monday – Friday - 1.00 pm to 11.30 pm
Every second Saturday - 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm
