What we are looking for:
- A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction.
- Previous duty technician experience.
- A high standard of grooming and presentation.
- The ability and flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including early mornings and on weekends.
What you will be doing:
- This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
- Assist the Director of Engineering with managing projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
- Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
- Implement systems to manage risk and environmental impact effectively.
- Train and develop members of the Engineering team.
- Prioritize job requests, assign tasks to the team and follow up on completed jobs as required.
Our Hotel - The Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport is a new dual-branded, 464-room hotel opening on 1 July 2024.
The Novotel Melbourne Airport with 248 rooms, and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport with 216 rooms, will be located just steps away from Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport. Guests will enjoy access to a fitness centre, conference rooms, pool, co working space and a number of food & beverage venues which form the hub of the mixed-use precinct.
This will be a village centre supporting the airport community as a place to gather and socialise for everyone who travels and works from the airport precinct.
