About the role:
We are looking for a Major Account Manager to administer current wholesale electricity and gas contracts while also seeking out new profitable opportunities with major Commercial & Industrial clients in Western Australia. These clients typically have electricity loads exceeding 10MW and gas consumption surpassing 1PJ annually. Collaboration within a high-performing team is essential to achieve commercial contracting outcomes and prioritising customer satisfaction.
In this role, you'll be:
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to establish the strategic roadmap for pursuing new business prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major customers and other key stakeholders in the WA electricity and gas market.
  • Acquire and lock in wholesale electricity and gas contracts to serve as a safeguard for current electricity generation assets and enhance the overall gas portfolio.
  • Create, implement, and manage Alinta Energy's demand response offerings for customers in Western Australia.
  • Ensure existing customer contracts are appropriately managed throughout the contract lifecycle.
Ideally, you'll bring to the role:
  • Extensive experience in a commercial/business development role in the Energy sector.
  • Proven track record in driving business expansion within a business-to-business (B2B) setting.
  • Experience in providing input to senior management-level business strategies.
  • Extensive expertise in the gas and electricity sectors, with a preference for familiarity with the Western Australia market is preferred.
  • Ability to deal with large wholesale customers and translate their needs into a complete solution.
