About the role
As we enter an exciting period of change, we are seeking a Major Project Manager to join our team based in Enfield, Sydney.
Reporting to the Capital Investment Director, and an integral part of the Mauri Divisional Engineering Team, in one of these critical roles you will be responsible for project management and execution of major capital projects within the Mauri group across Australian and New Zealand.
Delivery of these major capital investment projects, which range from greenfield to major upgrades, is critical to enable the execution of our business strategy and operational requirements. Improving project management and portfolio management is a key focus for the business, and we will be looking for individuals who are prepared to challenge ways of working, bringing their own experience and ideas.
This is much more than a typical engineering or project management role. You will lead cross-functional teams as you take ownership of projects across Australia from start to finish, from feasibility assessment to project completion, collaborating and influencing at all levels of the business, with the backing of significant investment from the business.
You will be responsible for developing and articulating thorough and aligned project plans, ensuring all safety and risk elements are identified and tightly controlled, establishing competitive but sustainable arrangements with suppliers, monitoring expenditure and conducting post-implementation reviews, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment and accountability throughout.

To be considered for the role, you will be able to demonstrate effective project management and project leadership experience and the ability to align internal stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication skills, and facilitation and presentation skills.
You will have strong contract, contractor and consultant management skills, good contractual understand and commercial nous, and experience in creating and maintaining sustainable but competitive agreements with third-party suppliers.
Desirable would be experience in bulk materials handling, civil works, compliance with regulators, codes, councils etc, and controls/electrical projects.
