The Position
This position will work as a member of the Curatorial team and will be responsible for the delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programming.
This position will also assist in the care, presentation and development of the MAMA Visual Art Collection.

Qualifications & experience
- Statutory Declaration or Certificate confirming Aboriginality
- Tertiary qualifications in Arts or related field
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Experience in Aboriginal art and culture including established networks within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
- A solid working knowledge of Aboriginal art and culture, including contemporary issues and debate surrounding public presentation of work by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists
- Work with the Curatorial team in the development and delivery of exhibitions, with a focus on artistic programs involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
- Provide technical assistance in the areas of exhibition installation and de-installation of exhibitions.
- Contribute to the writing and editing of exhibition texts.
- Undertake and support research on artistic programs involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists
- Assist in the administration of an outward touring exhibition program.
Hours
Based on 35 hours per week, working a minimum of 21 hours across a 7-day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance with facility roster.
