About the Role
We are seeking a Management Accountant, to work as a part of the finance team to provide timely, compliant and accurate reporting. Based in our Kingsford or Adelaide offices, the role will support various divisions with project and management accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Monthly Management Accounts for various divisions ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Full profit & loss review including variance analysis for each profit & cost centre.
- KPI reporting and calculations.
- Lead role in inventory management including stocktakes, open/closed work orders, negative stock and stock turns.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Manipulate and analyse raw data.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Preparation of various weekly management reports.
- Proactively develop process improvements.
- Proactively develop controls or processes that will enhance the reliability of costing data.
- Undertake all other reasonable tasks and duties within your skill and ability, as directed.
Skills and Experience
- Advanced excel skills and report development;
- Knowledge of a large ERP system;
- Ability to adapt to change and continuous improvement;
- Must be a hands-on person willing to get involved with all aspects of the business;
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 Suite;
- High level of organisation skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and various deadlines;
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for liaising with Managers and external customers;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative;
- Excellent problem solver and attention to detail;
- Formal qualifications in Accounting / Business Studies or similar (desirable);
- Previous exposure to Pronto ERP system (desirable);
- At least 3 years experience in a costing role in a manufacturing and production environment (desirable).
