Your new role
Reporting to the GM of finance, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely analysis, modelling, advice and insight of operational business and financial performance. Working closely with Sales, Production, Procurement, Logistics and Customer Service, you will also interact with a range of external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers. Key accountabilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including consolidations
- Preparation of various weekly management reports, including short supply and labour costs
- Investigate key manufacturing variances and recommend solutions
- Manage inventory movements, adjustments and write-offs
- Manage month-end accounting close processes
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Manage payroll journals and preparation of on-costs (superannuation, payroll tax and Workcover)
- Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS
- Support Accounts Officers
What you'll need to succeed
- Recognised Accounting Degree together with CPA/CA qualifications (or working towards)
- 2-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to costing and inventory management would be advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent multitasking skills in a time-sensitive environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
