Management Accountant

Edward Mann is recruiting for one of Australia's leading food manufacturing businesses based in Virginia, South Australia, 5120. This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals from the manufacturing, food production, or agricultural sector who are seeking to advance their careers. and work closely with the COO.

The Management Accountant will work closely with the COO and provide support to the broader finance team, they are responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services across various product lines and multiple local facilities.

Looking to pay up to 110k + Super for the right individual, or potentially more for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly operational reports.
• Review and analyse P&L statements.
• Management of the 3-way cash forecast by inputting relevant data
• Maintain the financial budget and manage reports for tracking costs against budgets.
• Manage the general ledger, including balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets.
• Handle Tax including (BAS, FBT, GST) and compile Monthly Management reports for the Board pack.
• Complete Quarterly Government Horticultural Levies Reporting and submit ABS Surveys.
• Oversee Asset Management, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Manage Intercompany Loan Accounts and handle minor tasks related to Trusts and investment companies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• CPA or Equivalent (those not qualified or studying towards will still be considered)
• Previous experience in a food production/ manufacturing/ agricultural business (ideal but not essential)
• Strong communication / Interpersonal skills
• Key stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Proven analytical background
• Advanced Excel skills (Macro and VBA)
• Large ERP systems experience
