Your new role:
The Management Accountant is integral to the Finance Department, spearheading managerial accounting functions. This pivotal role involves delivering timely managerial reports to all personnel and management across diverse functions, aiming to enhance operations and mitigate risks effectively.
Your primary areas of responsibility:
- Monitor all transactions in each module in the SAP System for Cost Closing and Project Cost.
- Finance and Operation Performance Report to seek improvement with and assist strategic with decisions.
- Assist with the preparation of all budgets and forecasts.
- General ledger reconciliations including fixed assets.
- Oversee and assist with the completion of monthly financial reports on time.
- Process month-end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.
- Inventory management.
About you:
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Experience in responding to External Audits through the SAP ERP system is preferred.
- Experience in using SAP Compatible third-party programs.
- Experience in a manufacturing company in an accounting role or similar is preferred.
Skills and Key Attributes:
- Ability to work on multiple engagements concurrently & operate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a multitasked, dynamic, and changing environment.
- Ability to provide in-depth analysis of complex data.
- Have a strong knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards Board/ International Financial Reporting Standards (AASB/IFRS).
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillset.
- Well organised and with an ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification (or be studying towards)
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related Business Major
