About the Role
In this role you will lead and coordinate Medical Service teams providing medical assessments for compensation and health monitoring for Care customers used for the purpose of determination of dust diseases.
This role will involve leading and developing a team to ensure a person centred, timely, high quality and cost-effective service is provided to meet the needs of customers and strategic objectives
Your responsibility will include managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to work productively and collaboratively to improve customer outcomes and to develop innovative solutions.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Manager of Clinical Practice you will:
Manage and lead team members, to ensure customer priorities and organisational objectives are met through a learning culture and information sharing.
Lead initiatives from concept design to implementation which supports business improvement and strategic outcomes for customers, involving project management to drive the successful implementation of the initiative and providing technical expert input to inform initiative concepts and solutions through a person centred approach.
Lead and deliver change management functions through effective communication and collaboration across Care and the broader organisation to meet the needs of the business, and influencing, facilitating and promoting awareness and readiness for change across teams and the operation that advances business strategy and fosters a culture which delivers improved customer outcomes.
Manage and review team caseloads to ensure new applicants, complex cases, peaks and priorities are identified and met for timely medical assessments and delivery of sound and comprehensive medical information for determination of claims of claims.
Manage and coordinate the delivery of medical screening services to customers across NSW to facilitate the timely determination of claims and early diagnosis of compensable dust diseases.
Conduct qualitative analysis of applications and medical reports and identify and facilitate timely resolution of applicant eligibility issues to support the determination of dust disease claims.
Manage, liaise and negotiate with health service providers to deliver specialist medical screening services and consultations with customers in accordance with icare requirements and standards and manage customer awareness of the Dust Disease Scheme
Skills & Experience
Knowledge and skills acquired through extensive practical experience in service delivery.
Up to date with current Public Health Order requirements
Experience in practice management or health administration
Knowledge of a customer focused approach to service delivery
Experience in managing complex & high volume medical information
Integral experience in creating and leading change initiatives.
