SalaryWe are looking for a friendly clinical assistant to complement our practice. This permanent part-time role will involve working with a single surgeon to assist their patients through their surgical journey. This will involve working patients up for surgery, assisting them through their recovery period, and simple wound care.
The role is currently for 3 days per week, and require availability from Wed-Fri from 8:30 to 5pm. Hours and days may be flexible.
The role will be split between Liverpool and Campbelltown areas
Key Responsibilities
- Managing preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Co-ordinating theatre schedules
- Organizing surgical equipment
- Acute wound care/suture removal
- Maintaining a surgical audit
- Occasional reception duties if other staff are on leave
Experience & Attributes
- Previoius EN/RN or medical/dental assistant experience.
- Previous practice nurse experience desirable
- Computer and admin skills essential - we use Google, Microsoft Office and Genie Solutions software in the practice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism
- Ability to work in a changing environment
- Well-presented
- Experience in dealing with culturally and linguistically diverse patients
