As a Manager Commercial and Operational Services, you'll report directly into the General Manager of Operational Support Services. You'll be responsible for leading and managing the commercial contracts that drive Operational Support Division's (OSD) growth, sustainability and operations functions, ensuring that the strategic and Operational objectives are met. You'll also oversee the administration function, providing guidance and support to the team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of administrative and commercial contract service.
An important part of this role initially, will be building your team of business support and contract specialists to support our strategic direction.
You'll be responsible for developing contract strategies, providing commercial leadership and collaborating closely with various stakeholders within OSD, external vendors, Powerlinks corporate contracts and legal teams as well as General Managers across the business.
The community you will joinBased in Brisbane, your role will sit within Operational Service Delivery (OSD) division. Our OSD division is responsible for delivering Powerlink's state-wide Transmission operations, including 24/7 real time operations, telecommunication services, operational technology (OT), Engineering Support, laboratory services and all field maintenance including project delivery.
Your expertise- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law or a related field, or lesser qualification with extensive experience
We'd also love you to have:
- Extensive experience in Commercial and contract management, preferably in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract law, procurement principles and practices, and relevant legislation and standards.
- Proven ability to negotiate, review and manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance, quality and value for money.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams, and manage performance and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks, issues and opportunities, and provide sound advice and recommendations.
- Sound financial and budget management skills, with the ability to plan, monitor and report on financial and resource performance and outcomes.
- High level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
