We currently have an opportunity for a new Manager to join our team across the Hunter & Central Coast Region.
Ideally you will have experience managing a supported independent residence or Community Access, but this is not essential.
A solid understanding of the NDIS as well as great people skills will place you well to apply for this role. With a proactive approach to everything you do, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful management of the supported independent living homes that you manage.
As the Manager, you will be overseeing and supporting the the delivery of high quality, participant focused services, in accordance with NDIS goals and aligned to the Disability standards.
Every day will be different, but the main responsibilities of this role will include
- Developing and maintaining effective communication with participants, families, and support staff
- Assisting with on-call on a rotational basis
- Clerical tasks related to procedures, documentation and reporting
- Leading your team by being part of the team
Selection Criteria
- Solid understanding of the NDIS and how to support participants to get the most out of their plans.
- Previous experience either managing or working within community supports and/or supported independent living environment
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with industry experience or equivalent knowledge and experience within the disability sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team within the community services sector.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritize workload and competing demands.
Applicants must have a current Drivers Licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
