About Us: Maranoa Regional Council, Qld, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager – Corporate Communications. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in shaping and executing effective communication strategies for senior leaders and engaging client communication materials and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership:Provide strategic direction, leadership, and oversight to internal and external communications. Ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to Corporate Communications, reflecting Council’s style and values. Lead, mentor, and develop the Communications team, identifying training and development needs.
Contribute to human resources activities, including performance reviews, onboarding, and recruitment. Projects:Develop Corporate Communications for projects directed by the Executive Team. Maintain Council’s corporate identity through key publications.
Lead major employee communications campaigns across various areas. Design and Digital Communications:Manage corporate branding consistency and produce timely multimedia content for online platforms. Develop and implement strategic social digital communication platforms.
Monitor trends in Corporate Communications and identify opportunities for enhancement. Communications:Partner with internal departments to prepare information for the community. Handle crisis communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and issues management.
Ensure all corporate communication activities align with statutory obligations and Council policies. Details and benefits:Roma, QldFull time position - 3 year contract5 weeks annual leave

Exceptional interpersonal skills and leadership ability. Experience in managing corporate communication platforms and social media. Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of statutory obligations and Council’s Corporate Communications policies. This role will require reference checks, medical assessment including drug and alcohol screen, driver's licence check and criminal history check.
