Job Description

We are excited to announce that we are defining a new role… just for you!

As the Corporate Communications Coordinator of SafeMate Australia, you are in charge of your department and take great pride in formulating exciting and engaging content with our growing community of members, stakeholders and clients which includes both B2B and B2C communications through Email Campaigns, Marketing content, Blogs directly through our Website, Social Media and other online methods of communications.

You will aim to establish new and emerging communications and marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and strategic growth within the right communities. The primary goal is to expand SafeMate’s network and community of paying members for our products and services and Stakeholder awareness.

As you work independently and are the coordinator of your department, you must be highly self-motivated, accountable to meeting deadlines and consistently able to manage and restructure work flow to meet and manage changing priorities.

You will work alongside your colleagues and freelancers to both support and provide your professional ideas and personal opinions, and execute any communications plans within your delegated budget.

You are given the accountability and creative licence to make a serious impact while working within a small, inspired and cooperative environment. If you thrive on seeing your own outcome-focused work create and hit goals, then this is the job for you!

Personal Attributes

You are enthusiastic and passionate, looking for a part-time role with the flexibility of working from home and orchestrating your hours. Maybe you are looking to return to work after some time off, aiming to reduce your hours, but most importantly, you are interested in enhancing your skills or trying something new. You are excited by professional responsibilities and want to apply your capable skills, emerging passion, and professional charisma to a growing company where bright ideas, affluent input, and passion for growth will be encouraged and showcased in your outcomes.

Qualifications, Experience & Portfolio

You will have qualifications in communications, marketing, community engagement, or related fields, or you will possess strong written and personal communication skills that can be showcased through previous work or experience.

You are motivated to work in a team and are passionate about bringing health services and products to those most in need within the community.

Existing experience working in Health services, aged care, or community development will be highly regarded.

Someone who has the confidence required to attend and engage in networking events, public speaking, and audience promotions is highly desirable.

Ideally, you have previously worked to develop small business models and promote brand awareness to targeted audiences through Social Media, traditional advertising, or other campaigns within varied and fixed budgets.

You don’t shy away from new projects that may propel you into learning new skills, but you also know how to manage your workload and delegate.

Key Responsibilities

  1. You have a fantastic team spirit and thrive working independently at-home or brainstorming ideas with colleagues both in person and via zoom.
  2. You attend weekly meetings with the team to ensure communications are transparent, thorough and provide room for feedback where possible.

  4. You are excited to start a New Social Media account for TikTok with ideas on how to execute the company's launch into a new demographic alongside social media assistance.
  5. You work closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure B2B & B2C communications are ongoing through the CRM, MailChimp and other email platforms.
  6. You work closely with the Operations Management to ensure transparency on your workload, deadlines and projects you are working in collaboration with.
  7. You coordinate with Member Services, and can communicate member or staff requests through email and Monday.com.
  8. You brainstorm and structure company campaigns and promotions alongside the team and create and manage marketing materials according to company branding.
  9. You keep open-ending and ongoing communications with the Directors of the company and ensure coaching and transparency relating to how your time is applied and where your priorities lie.
  10. You work to improve and update website content when required (Shopify and SquareSpace). This will include the updating and introduction of new pages to supply resources for partners and stakeholders.
  11. You work to upkeep and improve stakeholder engagement and communications with field paramedics in QAS, including in-person meetings and demonstrations to local offices with the BDM and on your own.
  12. You attend community events and expos such networking and community development events where you can confidently present Safemate products and services and catalogue any databases for future communications.
  13. Create and send out quarterly member newsletter that provides community updates, information, relevant and engaging content for their exclusive access to Safemate news.
  14. You contribute to the overall company structure and are willing to accept tasks outside of your allocated job description to ensure company objectives and goals are met.
