The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Manager – Crime Prevention Strategy and Projects will lead the NJC's Crime Prevention program. A key focus for the Manager will be to enhance the NJC's capability, profile and impact in improving community safety and preventing offending in Yarra. The work will be guided by the NJC's new Crime Prevention Plan, which has been developed through a consultative process with partner agencies across the City of Yarra. The role may expand to line management responsibility in the future.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the fields of prevention practice and program management is essential
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in community development or community engagement and stakeholder management are essential
- Experience in leading a policy and practice team
- Strong project design and project management skills
- An understanding of community safety or community justice approaches
