The role:

The Personal Banking, Personal Direct space is undergoing an exciting transformation. Reporting to the Head of Channel Strategy, CX & Planning, this position focuses on developing and delivering an enduring strategic vision. This entails:

• Designing, developing and delivering the 12 month and 3 year strategy and operating plans, ensuring governance of the planning ecosystem
• Acting as a key interface for the Leadership team across Personal Direct to support a variety of initiatives and activities
• Partnering with SMEs across the business, developing a robust understanding of frontline operations to lead initiatives that address business challenges or changes
• Presenting plans with associated business casing to achieve strategic outcomes, story-boarding and planning roadmaps
• Leading and supporting a strategy analyst to report on internal and external trends and undertake complex data modelling
• Project management, supporting optimisation and change initiatives with a sensitivity to business priorities including creation and maintenance of project documentation
• Stakeholder management, working across the business unit to engage and coordinate with relevant teams, building strong working relationships to leverage business outcomes

What you will bring:

• Experience leading and delivering short and long term large-scale strategy and planning initiatives, absolutely mandatory
• Experience leading people in an environment with rapidly evolving priorities
• Experience analysing complex data sets to derive insights, able to consider and contextualise data sources, collection and structure to provide accurate and meaningful insights (in a banking/finance environment preferred)
• Outstanding stakeholder management, able to form strong working relationships across several initiatives and communicate with influence to coordinate delivery
• Confidence in handling ambiguity appropriately whether by seeking clarification or working with the available information and your business knowledge
• Good operational awareness, applies their deep business understanding to identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous growth
