The Learning Design and Technology unit sits within the Education Portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education and Students).

About the Role
As part of the Learning Design and Technology Unit in the Education Portfolio, the position plays a key role in the development and implementation of the service approach and planning, staff management, and Digital Learning Ecosystem strategy and management activities to facilitate the delivery of technology-enhanced learning services and related teaching projects.
The incumbent will work with the Head Educational Technology Strategy and Support and other team leads in the Learning Design and Technology Unit to plan and develop strategies to address UTS priorities, and in partnership with Divisions and Faculties to build digital capability and enhance practice in blended learning.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively with ITD, lead the process of selecting and prioritising pedagogically sound technologies for the learning and teaching ecosystem to support aspects of the UTS 2027 strategy
- Actively contribute to policy, procedure and decision-making processes relating to educational technology issues for the University
- Lead stakeholder consultation processes to inform the selection of technologies
- Establish and communicate effective decision-making processes around learning technologies, and access points for faculties to communicate technology needs
- Lead the team in planning for university-wide implementation of new tools and technologies
- Manage the Education Technologies Team effectively

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $134,476 to $140,880 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
