  • Permanent Full-time - 80 Hours + ADO  
  • ADON GROUP (8A CAMPUS) (ZC1): $125,008 plus superannuation (overaward will be considered based on relevant experience)

About the team

The Endocrinology and Diabetes department at Alfred Health is dedicated to providing the highest standard of evidence-based care for individuals living with diabetes and endocrine diseases. At the heart of our service is a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to provide personalised care addressing the unique needs and goals of each individual. Our team is committed to supporting our patients in achieving optimal health and improving their quality of life. We pride ourselves on delivering evidence-based practices across all three Alfred Health sites (The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital & Sandringham Hospital). Our treatment protocols and recommendations reflect the latest scientific research and clinical guidelines. We continually evaluate our practices, outcomes, and patient satisfaction to identify areas for enhancement and ensure that our services remain at the forefront of diabetes care and management. 

About the role

The Manager Endocrine & Diabetes is a professional and clinical leader, playing a pivotal role in meeting broader service and organisational imperatives. This role operationalises the core values of Nursing at Alfred Health by ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff. She/He is accountable for developing staff to deliver excellence in clinical practice and is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve patient outcomes. The Manager Endocrine & Diabetes facilitates effective patient access to clinical services managing both financial and human resources to meet these needs. 

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated expertise and skills in Diabetes clinical care
  • Leadership experience in managing a team
  • Extensive clinical nursing experience in relevant health service

Desirable:

  • Post graduate certificate in Diabetes Education/Management
  • Degree in healthcare / business management or working towards same
