What's in it for you?Due to our significant growth, this new and exciting role has emerged. The Manager of Facilities will focus on providing leadership and management to our Facilities team. Reporting to the newly created Executive Manager Operations role and working closely with a group of highly professional and talented people, this is a vital role to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the upgrades and project management activities of the Shire and to provide technical and operational support to the Executive Manager Operations to ensure effective management of existing and future Shire facilities and delivery of works related to management and maintenance of Shire facilities.
The Shire is committed to the long-term happiness of our team and offer a base salary of around $140,000, plus superannuation and Shire-maintained vehicle or vehicle allowance.

What's in it for us?To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate significant experience in facilities management ideally in building maintenance and construction fields, including an understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Australian Standards, regulations, and safety standards. You will have highly developed contract management and project management skills with the ability to juggle varies projects and timelines.
Your people management skills will be strong as well as your negotiating skills and communication skills with previous experience in successfully leading a team. You will have a strong customer focus for both internal and external stakeholders and be able to create positive change for the facilities team.
