As part of the Finance Department (FP&A unit), the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Fleet & Planning) is responsible for a range of Financial Planning & Analysis activities, with a focus on business partnering with Fleet Strategy stakeholders. They will be the key finance support in areas including fleet business case reviews and will support the long-term fleet planning processes for all members of the Jetstar Group, including analysis and financial modelling.
The core responsibilities of this role are to:
Work closely with the Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to lead in continuing development of Jetstar Group fleet business cases
Develop and maintain long-term fleet planning models to provide capacity, financial, and operational related analysis in order to define optimal fleet strategy for the Jetstar Group
Prepare detailed business cases for fleet investments and to lead the investment review process and impacts to 5YP and 10YP funds from operation
Be the conduit for Qantas Finance & Fleet, ensuring Jetstar stakeholders understand impacts to Qantas Group financials, and to liase with with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization for stakeholder-specific interpretation and analysis (including Jetstar Asia and Japan)
Managing presentations to stakeholders across the Jetstar Group, including the GMC
To drive continuous process improvement in financial modelling, training other FP&A team members and challenging direct reports and peers to strive for high performance in all work
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA / CPA)
Minimum seven years-post graduate accounting experience in complex and high-pressure corporate environments (aviation experience preferable but not essential)
Experience with project management, with TM1 knowledge and exposure to Oracle Financials
Strong computer-based skills (Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential)
Ability to be a highly efficient and committed individual that can work independently and meet deadlines, whilst being team-oriented with a high sense of customer satisfaction
Strong financial and problem-solving skills with commercial acumen
Good communication skills (oral and written) and proven ability to interact with senior management
Attention to detail, adaptability and ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
Strong ability to influence, cross-culturally, externally and internally and build relationships with stakeholders in multiple locations, being a change agent committed to continuous improvement
