Hays Recruitment have partnered with a well known organisation that are requiring a Manager of Financial Services to join their team on a full time basis, the role is based in Horham and looking for someone that can start immediately
Your new role
As an experienced Finance Manager, you will be responsible responsible for leading the Financial Services division and functions including financial reporting, treasury management, taxation compliance, account payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and providing analysis and interpretation where necessary.
Key duties include:
- Maintain the Corporation’s financial transaction system(s) to ensure that the integrity of the internal control of the payment and collection systems is preserved.
- Prepare the Corporation's annual financial report, statistical and other performance reports as required.
- Manage the payroll and payment functions
- Responsible for issuing of customer accounts
- Manage outstanding debtor collection processes and maintain relationships with external service providers
- Prepare relevant returns to meet tax and other statutory obligations
- Ensure reconciliations to support monthly management reports are completed and actioned as required
- Manage the Corporation's working capital requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of the Corporation's budgets, forecasts and financial plans as required.
- Develop and review financial management policies and procedures as required.
- Manage allocated staff and resources in a positive and proactive manner to optimise staff developmental potential, organisational management, and resource efficiency.
- Demonstrate leadership and enthusiasm for staff within the Division and motivate those staff to achieve the performance expected of the Division.
- Identify and assist in the solution to any communication and workflow problems observed by suggesting improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes
What you'll need to succeed
- A Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- ICA or CPA or be progressing toward the achievement of these qualifications
- Demonstrated senior management experience in finance
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and lead a team of finance staff to provide effective support and services to the business
- Demonstrated experience in the management, development and operation of computerised accounting and financial transaction systems
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, conceptual and analytical skills
