DPC is currently working to advance engagement levels with People in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in South Australia.
Murra Partners has been engaged to recruit an exciting new role, Manager, First Nations Engagement.
About the role
The Manager, First Nations Engagement is responsible for providing leadership and driving meaningful and comprehensive engagement with people and communities. This role is to develop and implement inclusive and empowering policy and projects.
You will work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to progress the efforts and help lead strategic initiatives in line with the Close the Gap and Voice to Parliament agreements.
In this role you will be responsible for:
● Leading the identification, development, implementation, and delivery of culturally appropriate initiatives and policy
● Providing cultural advice that prioritise and support key strategic opportunities
● Identifying issues or opportunities for improved project and program delivery
● Fostering strong working relationships to encourage and increase First Nations engagement
● Establishing good relationships with First Nations organisations, institutions and communities
About the Person
We are looking for a strong leader and project manager that is able to navigate cultural sensitivity within an evolving and ambiguous working environment. You will be a high performer who has exceptional communication skills and a proven track record managing difficult stakeholders.
