As the Manager, Internal communications you will develop initiatives aligned to the strategy of our operational workgroups, along with the broader Qantas group commercial objectives. The successful candidate will be able to provide Internal Communications leadership and counsel to senior stakeholders and set the strategic direction for the company.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, the role will manage business unit communication channels and coordinate the dissemination of strategic group – wide communications. This includes managing major announcements, welcoming our next generation fleet of aircraft, supporting town halls and developing content to be shared across the group.
You’ll have:
5-10 years’ experience in employee and stakeholder communications (experience supporting communications for an operational workforce highly regarded)
Degree qualifications in communications are highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business issues into effective communications within a large organisation
Strong and confident stakeholder management skills and verbal and written presentation skills.
Ability to understand and translate strategic business issues into effective communications
Knowledge of the industrial relations framework, its application to the business unit and issues
Broad knowledge of the Qantas group, it’s business units and the aviation industry.
Ability to drive a high performance culture and spark engagement within a team
