Your new role
As Manager, Investment Capability, you will report through to the Head of Equity Portfolio Insights and Strategy and will sit within the International & Private Equity, department. This role will be the key point of contact for all non-investment related activities across I&PE and will coordinate the departments involvement in International & Private Equity (I&PE) / Investments Domain / Fund level projects, initiatives, and activities.
Whilst this role covers all of I&PE, it is anticipated the role will spend up to three quarters of time on PE capability / strategy related activities, working closely with the PE Senior team.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Represent I&PE in all Business Management related forums and be the primary point of contact for all budget and forecast related activities for I&PE.
- Produce and support the production of key communication documents / presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required. Represent I&PE teams in various forums where appropriate.
- Work with the Private Equity Senior team, Head of International & Private Equity, Head of Equity Insights & Strategy and PE Senior Team to further develop the overall PE Strategy and Business Plan, ensuring close integration with the I&PE overall strategy and business plan.
- Development and oversight of the annual budget and rolling business plan of the Private Equity portfolio with the Fund's annual processes, including with reference Management Expense Ratio, RG 97 costs, Product Disclosure Statements and periodic accounts and statements.
- Help in portfolio investment performance reporting for all internal stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Experience in a senior role within management consulting, funds/asset management, finance or legal sectors.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally within finance, economics, law or related fields.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Listed and Private Equity, including investment strategies and transaction types for Private Equity.
- Excellent stakeholders relationship management skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in presenting findings to senior management or clients on a regular basis.
- Demonstrable proficiency in report writing, communication, planning and coordination skills.
