Your day in the life at Optus
IT Operations Manager will oversee a broad spectrum of responsibilities within the Corporate Systems Team, including, demand management financial management, vendor management, service assurance and Process Improvements They play a crucial role in ensuring that IT services align with business needs, are cost-effective, and meet performance and quality standards.
Key area's within this role include:
- Demand Management : Collaborate with business units to understand their IT needs and priorities.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize cost and service quality
- Billing and Financial Management: Oversee the IT billing and financial management process, includes requesting purchasing approvals and tracking them to closure
- IT Service Assurance: Manage and lead all change cutover activities impacting Corporate Systems.
- Process Improvement : ·Find opportunities for process improvement and automation within the IT operations function.
Your skills to pay the bills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT operations management and Project Management
- Vendor negotiation and contract management experience.
- Expert in using IT Toolsets, Excel and PowerPoint
