About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Training line of business based at NSW- RAAF Base Wagga Wagga, reporting to the Senior Program Manager- Aviation Technical Training
You will be responsible for overseeing training delivery and infrastructure, ensuring the timely, budget-conscious, and specification-compliant fulfilment of project and customer requirements, while actively contributing to business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and monitoring Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) on site
- Leading and supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Ensuring that training products and services, meet the BAE Systems Australia Product Safety Policy, operational policies, and that they satisfy customer requirements
- Overseeing the effective and efficient use of resources (including training aids, simulators and associated training equipment) is achieved
- Managing project plans for small to medium sized sub-projects and other tasking as required by the Project Manager
- Reporting to and liaising with the customer on training delivery matters and issues. As well as ensure routine engagement with all customers
- Supporting and providing guidance to internal and external customers on training related requirements and outcomes
- Accountability for ensuring staff authorisations are maintained on Engineering Delegation Authority Database
About YOU
- Experience in training environments, preferably technical training in a Defence environment as well as aviation maintenance environment
- Experience in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector and relevant industries
- Experience working within regulatory environments
- Significant experience in leading continuous improvement and in leading teams
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or the intent to gain this qualification)
