Manager - Kyc Quality Control

About the Role

The Manager, KYC Quality Control (QC) is responsible for managing the Quality Control team to undertake Quality Control activities to identify gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in Line 1’s management of financial crime risks. The Manger will be responsible for ensuring test scripts are undertaken in accordance with the Financial Crime Quality Control Framework. This role plays an important part in ensuring the Bank’s processes and KYC/AML regulatory obligations are met.  Contributing regular and insightful reporting for Line 1 on the financial crime compliance risk incidents and issues identified through Quality Control activities while helping to drive a strong compliance culture across Line 1 and achieving the Compliance Purpose and Ways of Working

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the team and inspiring, developing and maintaining a high-performance team within a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Support, motivate and coach the team to achieve the required outcomes and encourage curious challenger thinking to uplift productivity within the function.
• Provide and recommend improvement activities across the KYC Operations Team to reduce errors.
• Identifies systemic issues and implication of control failures

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in leading teams.
• A proven history with at least 5 years of relevant KYC/AML experience.
• Compliance, Audit and Regulatory experience.
• Prior experience within a medium sized financial services institution.
• Stakeholder management experience advantageous.
• AML/KYC Certifications ACAMS (or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to deliver on agreed targets, communicating progress and resolving escalations.
• Ability to proficiently use MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage team level processes and deliver presentations.
• Ability to work to compressed timeframes individually and as part of the broader KYC Operations team.
• Ability to interact with Auditors, Compliance and Independent Controls Groups as required.
