Position: Quality Control Manager
Location: Marland Mushrooms Farm, [Stapylton]
Your Role and Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Manager role is an essential role across the business where a sound understanding of quality procedures and processes will ensure that our high standards are maintained and improved upon where possible. The ideal candidate will have the relevant experience, a persuasive communication style and enjoy being the driving force for quality across the business.
- Conduct random audits to ensure the highest possible quality and customer conformity & report findings
- Drive internal and external audit compliance
- Conduct temperature checks as required and report findings
- Process enhancement to ensure premium quality of supply to customers
- Shelf-life compliance testing
- Conduct product traceability audits and report on findings
- Maintenance of approved supplier criteria
- End to end role impacting across the greater business and all departments
- Enjoy a variety of challenges and interactions across entire business
- R & D projects as required
- Offer insights and value to management team
Experience:
The ideal applicant will have the following:
- Application of HACCP principles, GMP and SQF
- Experience in food production or horticulture preferred
- Great communication and naturally engaging style
- Active listening skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and achieve outcomes
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft products
- Good time management and priority planning
- Management of customer product specification requirements and updates and conformity
- End to end role covering compliance requirement across our supply chain and to meet or exceed customer requirements
- Knowledge of and compliance to major retailers Quality Standards and processes
- Compliance audits
- Knowledge of microbiological testing processes
