About the Role:
As the Manager, Land and Approvals Operations you will take responsibility for legal and compliance issues concerning Land and regulatory approval processes. The role is based primarily at Bayswater Power Station but you will work across all assets including existing thermal generation, wind, hydro and solar power generation sites.
What you'll be doing:
- Advise the Integrated Energy Senior Leadership team on a diverse range of issues relating to our Land and Approvals strategy for operations
- Lead and manage the evaluation and execution of land, infrastructure and regulatory approval for our operational sites
- Build and maintain effective strategic and operational relationships with local, state and federal Government to effectively negotiate regulatory and other approvals
- Lead and develop a team of Land and Approvals professionals
- Identification and development of priorities and project approval pathways
- Coordinate, develop and implement a strategy and timeline for obtaining approvals for energy projects and operational assets
- Lead the team to manage the environmental assessment process for operational assets by coordinating external consultants and gaining input from key internal personnel
- Identify opportunities for improvements, innovation and efficiencies across Land and Approvals
About You:
You will ideally have extensive experience in land Approvals and access for greenfield and brownfield sites, but most importantly your experience with stakeholder management, negotiation, problem solving and project delivery will set you up for success.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or similar
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Strategic planning capability, utilising internal and external stakeholders
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Experience leading and developing teams
