What You Will Be Doing
The Manager Medical Workforce Unit (Junior Medical Staff) works with Medical Workforce Unit staff, Clinical Directors and the Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) to deliver efficient and effective recruitment and overall co-ordination of Junior Medical staff requirements at Peninsula Health.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Experience in a health care environment
- Demonstrated experience interpreting Awards/Agreements relating to Junior Medical Staff
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team working towards a common objective.
- Demonstrated organisational ability including the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

*Please refer to salary circular for Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Interest Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.

Selection Criteria Essential: Experience in a healthcare environment
Essential: Demonstrated experience interpreting Awards/Agreements, ideally relating to Junior Medical staff
Essential: Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including a demonstrated customer- service and problem-solving approach to dealing with colleagues and clients
Desirable: Experience in planning and the conducting of Junior Medical Staff Recruitment processes (annual and ad-hoc) and/or other healthcare practitioners
Desirable: Experience in allocation of terms and leave planning for Junior Medical Staff and/or roster planning
Desirable: Experience in rostering Junior Medical Staff and/or other healthcare practitioners.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team working towards a common objective
Essential: Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Essential: Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior clinicians, managers, Post Graduate Medical Council Victoria, staff, AMA and other external stakeholders
Desirable: An appropriate undergraduate qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience/education/training in healthcare
