  • Salary - Multi Classification
  • First Classification - AHP4 - Allied Health Professional L4 - $112,625 to $122,610
  • Second Classification - RN/M4 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 4 - $128,327 to $133,758
  • Employment Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 28 Mar 2025)

Overview
The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.
Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Newborn Hearing Screening Program team as Manager Statewide Newborn Hearing Screening Program in a full time capacity, until 28 March 2025.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Allied Health, the Manager Newborn Hearing Screening will provide leadership and strategic direction to the South Australian Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHSP).
In this role you will:
  • Coordinate the South Australian Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHSP) for all infants born in public and private South Australian Hospitals, including those that require follow-up
  • Manage all aspects of operational, strategic, service development, human, financial and physical resources allocated to the NHSP
  • Monitor and manage NHSP performance and reports on performance against agreed indicators to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide high-level expert advice, professional leadership and advocacy at a state and national level on Newborn Hearing Screening policy issues and national benchmarks
About You
To be eligible you must:
  • have an Appropriate degree or equivalent AHP qualification which gives eligibility for full Association membership with the appropriate registration board or association / society of Australia. Or
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate; or
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership skills to lead and motivate internal and external stakeholders through complex challenges and uncertainty to achieve effecting Hearing Screening outcomes.
If you have demonstrated experience in analysing and interpreting data with high-level attention to detail, and you have a comprehensive knowledge of neonatal Hearing Screening, then this role is for you.
