ABOUT THE ROLE
- Pivotal Senior Officer Position
- Full Time Fixed Term for up to 12 months

The Manager Open Space and Environment will hold a crucial position within the South Gippsland Shire Council's Senior Leadership Team. The role will lead and inspire a diverse team who are passionate about creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in this parental leave vacancy.
Responsibilities will include overseeing an extensive portfolio of projects, ranging from rejuvenating public parks, gardens, and playgrounds to maintaining scenic rail trails, public amenities and other public outdoor areas. Our commitment to environmental sustainability will put this role at the forefront of initiatives focused on rural vegetation maintenance, biodiversity conservation, and Open Space construction.

You are a leader who is unafraid to challenge the status quo and drive transformation. The successful candidate will have a track record of leading multi-disciplinary workforces, championing strategic Open Space and Environment plans, and skilfully managing finances and time.
