This role sits within Council’s Senior Management Team and drives success in Council’s People and Performance functions - Human Resources, Safety, Governance, Customer Services, Libraries, Records, Privacy and Freedom of Information.

The successful applicant in this multi-faceted role will be a dynamic leader with an eye for detail and will have experience working with legislation in a corporate environment. - Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business, management, human resources, or other relevant qualification.
- Substantial experience in corporate governance.
- Knowledge, understanding and ability to interpret and apply legislation including, but not limited to, the Local Government Act 2020, Freedom of Information Act 1982, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and other principle legislation and regulations.
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present on complex topics to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to drive excellence in a team environment.
- Well-developed skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, and organising work to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible within available resources and set timetables.
- Demonstrated ability to implement organisational change and development.
