Randstad has been engaged to recruit a Manager, Planning and Strategy for a leading and high-performing State Government organsation. This 6 month temporary role plays a critical role leading the development, refinement and execution of the department's 4-year strategic plan.
This leadership position is responsible for:
- ongoing development and improvement of the department's Business Planning Framework and Corporate Management Framework and calendar
- supporting frameworks and processes with associated tools, guidelines, training and systems, including managing the contract and administration of the current Planning and risk tool
- provision of analysis and expert advice on complex issues and support to the department in relation to best practice Planning and related obligations
- preparing high-quality reports, papers, presentations, briefs and correspondence within agreed timeframes
- identifying and overseeing implementation of projects to improve the planning products, processes and department's capability
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Planning or equivalent
- Experience in strategic planning is essential
- Ability to translate organisational strategy into meaningful long-term plans
- Experience leading a team, build team commitment by demonstrating personal conviction
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to engage and build relationship with a wide range of stakeholders
