About the Role
The Project Support Officer will be a valued member of the Infrastructure Services Delivery Team (ISD). The ISD Team delivers funded capital infrastructure projects (refurbishments and new buildings) and the Project Support Officer will be required to support the team in all project phases to deliver these projects on the infrastructure workplan. This position also has a key role in supporting the Director in the writing and preparation of funding proposals, and collation, updating and maintaining of all project management literature/artefacts. Regular engagement with a range of stakeholders across the AWH health service and funding bodies such as the Victorian Health Building Authority and NSW Health is a key aspect of the role. Overall, the Project Support Officer will have good work practices in organisation, planning and goverance to ensure high quality and effective support to the ISD Department. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- Understand business/operational requirements in order to contribute to the full project management life cycle, including planning, implementation and delivery.
- Use appropriate project coordination and management methodology to assist the Director and Project Managers to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
- Contribute to enhancing the AWH project management framework, tools and templates, and implement changes to maximise value to the ISD Department.
- Work with the Director ISD to continually improve goverance of all projects and embed best practice.
- Assist with writing and coordinating infrastructure funding proposals and applications.
