The Opportunity The Department of Transport is seeking a highly motivated, well organised, and experienced individual to join our Maritime team as Manager Port Operations.In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of the Port Operations Branch, including supporting the strategic development and delivery of the Port Operations Program. You will be administering the Shipping and Pilotage Act 1967 as it pertains to the Department of Transport in relation to the management of maritime operations and the performance of Deputy Harbour Master functions within S&P Act ports throughout the State.To excel in this role, you will have the ability to develop and implement risk management principles, procedures, and policies within a maritime and port regulatory environment. You will also display substantial knowledge and understanding of International, National, and State conventions and management arrangements as they relate to maritime operations and maritime environmental emergencies in Western Australia. Your excellent communications skills and ability to remain calm in high pressure environments will be an asset to the role.To be successful in this role you will need to be in possession of a minimum of a Master
