Goodline have secured a Pipeline Project for one of our Major Clients in Port Hedland, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The project works is for the replacement of approximately 3 km of MSCL Pipe and 3 km HDPE and Stainless Potable Water pipes, inclusive of valves stations and commissioning within an operating Port site. The onsite works is scheduled to start mid-July 2024 and run for approximately 15 months in duration. The role is ready for immediate start with the offsite planning already underway.
We are seeking an experienced and hands on Project Manager to work as part of the delivery team. You will lead our Port Hedland based project team through the onboarding site mobilisation, execution, and final completion phases by:
- Overseeing site project execution, HSE support, QAQC and close out.
- Ensuring the team adhere to Client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans and procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining project schedules and work to tight deadlines and budgets.
- Reviewing and advising on commercial, contracts and scope departures.
- Maintaining, tracking, and reporting on project progress and performance.
- Working closely with Clients, Goodline management and all other project staff.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field – i.e Construction Management, Engineering or Trade. You will have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a construction project or mining environment in similar roles with a sound knowledge of core fundamentals of construction.
The areas you will excel in should include project management, quality assurance, work pack development, procurement, scheduling, reporting, contract management and leadership/mentorship. The work is varied, often challenging and will excite an ambitious person looking to advance their career in a great environment.
You will be working in a large team supported by execution Superintendents and Supervisors.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-disciplined, technical construction projects in the mining or commercial construction industry.
- Demonstrated contract experience in industrial construction environments
- Sound ability to identify potential contractual, schedule and safety risks
- Demonstrated ability to work at multiple levels of stakeholder management across various disciplines
- Highly-developed and effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, tie-in and commissioning of potable and plant water systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage works on multiple workfront with a focus on safety, quality and productivity
- Experience in project controls and Primavera P6 highly desirable
