About the opportunity:
An opportunity has become available for a Manager, Power Systems to join the Strategic Policy and Delivery division to lead and direct the strategic planning and delivery of critical and complex power system related programs, projects and services that lead and influence the development of the least cost energy system. The position engages with a wide range of energy market stakeholders, including industry organisations and groups, regulatory bodies, government, and consultants to inform the delivery of South Australia’s affordable and reliable energy supply that meets greenhouse gas emissions targets.

Key selection criteria:
Please only address the dot points listed below in your application
- Extensive experience in leading the strategic planning and delivery of complex programs, research projects and services that deliver Power Systems analysis including critically examining, interpreting and summarising sensitive information and formulating innovative solutions.
- Extensive experience strategically leading multi-disciplinary teams in the planning and delivery of major program objectives, including providing expert specialist advice to, and performance managing, professional staff.
- Extensive experience in Power Systems analysis simulation applications, such as PSSE and PSCAD or other equivalent analytical software.
- Extensive knowledge of the physical operation of electricity transmission systems, network constraints, and the overarching markets.
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering with extensive recognised discipline expertise. Accreditation as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng) is highly desirable.
Remuneration:
PO5 $122,610 - $128,328 per annum, plus an attraction allowance
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week
