Reporting to the Director of Forecasting & Planning, your mandate will guide and oversee the strategic planning and execution of vital and intricate programs, projects, and services in the power system domain. Within this context the role leads and oversees the delivery of critical power system research projects and best practice network analysis, and provides authoritative advice regarding power system analysis and no regrets power system development actions to unlock the state’s resources and demand growth potential. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team of power system engineers in the delivery of specialist advice to inform the efficient future development of the power system to meet prospective demand growth and ensure energy security and reliability. Additionally, the incumbent will undertake the ongoing development and continuous improvement of Power Systems analysis by adapting precedents and making significant advances in monitoring outcomes and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
Accordingly, we are pursuing a leader and/or senior Power Systems engineer, with extensive experience in Power Systems analysis simulation applications. Your ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in the planning and delivery of major program objectives will complement the capacity to provide professional guidance and representation to a diverse stakeholder group, bringing expert specialist advice to the delivery of the States power system and the secure integration of renewable energy and distributed energy resources.
