Job description:
Investment & Technology is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for providing investment strategy and delivering commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State.
About the Role
The Manager Procurement Governance is part of the Procurement Governance, Policy & Systems branch. This role is responsible for managing the Procurement Assurance Program, a data-driven, risk-based program that is supported by an analytics function within the Governance team.
As a second line assurance function, and a member of the Procurement division's leadership team, the role will work with the Procurement leadership team and the department's second line risk and compliance function to support the management of procurement-related risk across the Department. The role will also develop and maintain a strong relationship with the department's independent audit function to ensure an effective third line.
The role also coordinates and manages audit responses by the Procurement division, and supports the Audit, Risk and Integrity Committee as required, providing analysis on assurance reporting outcomes to inform proactive mitigations where necessary.

Position Outcomes
The individual effectively drives and manages the Procurement Assurance Program, collaborating with key stakeholders to mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. They also lead and develop a collaborative risk management capability within the Procurement division, applying specialist knowledge for insightful reporting to senior management and providing effective leadership for an engaged and high-performing team with a focus on safe, inclusive, and flexible operations.
