About the Role:
The main objective of the Manager Quality Assurance role is to provide strategic guidance and ensure Quality Assurance within the Fire Risk Research and Community Preparedness department.
This involves leading the department's business planning, maintaining best practice governance processes, and supervising the evaluation of community engagement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves coordinating strategy, reporting, and policy documentation for the department.
Furthermore, the Manager Quality Assurance holds a critical responsibility for stakeholder management, fostering relationships with agencies and partners involved in fire prevention and community preparedness efforts alongside the CFA.
Specifically, you will
- Provide leadership and coordination within the Fire Risk, Research, and Community Preparedness department, including strategy development and fostering collaboration.
- Chair relevant committees and lead the departmental business planning process.
- Monitor strategy and business plan delivery, providing reports as needed.
- Offer strategic advice on departmental policy, coordinating responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships for program evaluation and service improvement.
- Manage project and service delivery efficiency, drafting reports for senior management.
- Develop strategic documents, policies, and processes for integrated service delivery.
- Oversee evaluation and enhancement of community engagement programs.
- Supervise a team of specialists handling niche services and functions.
About You:
- Qualification or relevant experience in leading strategic business planning processes, including budgeting, monitoring and review.
- Proven ability in developing and implementing Quality Assurance mechanisms for business efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear advice on organisational governance, compliance, policy and procedures and service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in the active implementation of continuous improvement processes relating to monitoring, evaluation, and data management of community programs.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a diverse range of stakeholders and strategic relationships to foster collaboration in the delivery of services.
- High level interpersonal skills including negotiation, oral and written communication.
