About the role
As the Roads and Facilities Manager, this role will oversee all aspects of the Roads and Facilities Department. This role will be responsible for collaborating with other departmental heads to implement policies and plans to focus on improving productivity.
Duties
- Supervise and manage civil works and facilities under Director's guidance
- Devise policies, strategies to address operations and provide reports
- Mentor staff and provide expert advise
- Implement measures to promote a culture of safety awareness
- Step into role of a Director when required, and attend Advisory meetings
- Relevant degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Over 5 years’ experience in the industry
- Strategic planning and development experience
- Knowledge of Road Management Act, Heavy Vehicle National Law and building projects in Victoria
- Experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary team
- Experience in planning and delivery of operational programs
- Class C (standard) Driver's Licence
