Access theKey responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance in the development of TMR's strategic and regional transport planning projects
- Review land-use masterplans developed by local government authorities and private sector proponents
- Apply the principles guiding the evaluation of significant land developments
- Develop cooperative relationships with key stakeholders involved in significant land development including state government departments, local government authorities and private sector proponents
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Effectively manages relationships through clear and concise communication, active listening, adaptability to diverse audiences, collaborative work, quick situational assessment, and conflict resolution skills aimed at finding common ground and fostering cooperation.
- Demonstrates rigorous advice by offering well-supported rationale, thorough evidence based analysis, timely decision-making, sophisticated communication to influence stakeholders, and consideration of long-term consequences.
- Possesses a deep understanding of customers' perspectives by actively engaging with them, fostering a strong customer focus within the team, and demonstrating respect towards customers and stakeholders.
- Applies specialist knowledge and skills in strategic transport planning (including understanding transport modelling), as well as expertise in project and program management methodologies.
- Effectively navigates through complex and ambiguous environments by making informed decisions in politically sensitive areas, accurately assessing situations and group dynamics despite incomplete information.
- Desirable: A current Class 'C' Drivers License
- Desirable: A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Town Planning or equivalent qualifications relevant to the infrastructure industry.
- Desirable: Extensive experience in transport and land use planning.
