Singleton Neighbourhood Centre Inc is a well-respected community organisation providing information, referral and support to the residents of the Singleton LGA. The centre has operated for over 49 years and provides a range of innovative services to the community with the aims of inspiring lifelong learning and creating connectedness and a sense of place to enhance individual and community wellbeing.
The Singleton Neighbourhood Centre are currently looking to recruit for the position of Manager to oversee the operations of the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre which incorporates the OpenDoor@SNC. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established organisation to make positive changes to the lives of the Singleton community. The SNC are looking for someone who is driven, enthusiastic and passionate to make a difference in the local community.
Reporting directly to the Board, the Manager will have overall management and responsibility for all aspects of operation of the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre.
- Demonstrate SNC values and professional leadership behaviours in all your undertakings.
- Leadership, mentoring & development of the Neighbourhood Centre Team and Volunteers
- Collaborate with the Board in the development of Strategic Plans and drive implementation
- Effective Implementation of all plans, policies and business improvements
- Develop, implement, and communicate plans to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Neighbourhood Centre
- Identify, mitigate and communicate risks associated with business operations including cyber risks, health, safety and environmental impacts, and respond to and coordinate emergency situations
- Planning and coordination of resources
- Deliver on all reporting requirements
- Develop and support a positive Centre culture based on the Values of the Centre
- Develop and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Demonstrated sound financial management and commercial acumen
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Social Services or equivalent
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Effective communication and strong literacy skills
- Proficient computer literacy, exposure to Xero
- An ability to interpret legislation, regulations together with policy and procedure
- High levels of self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Ability to work in high pressure and competing priority/ambiguous environments for sustained periods
- Able to use analytical skills to reason through problems and translate creative ideas into workplace improvements
- Manage & build positive relationships with team members, volunteers and a variety of external stakeholders
- Act honestly and with integrity at all times
- Respect the values and diversity of others
- Act Decisively
- Drive Performance within the Business
- Maintain & promote accountability within roles
- Change Management and Process Improvement skills
- Experience managing volunteers would be a strong advantage
The role will be 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday with the potential to become a full time position.
You will be required to have a current paid WWCC & Police Check.
