School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
Join our team as the Manager, Statutory Planning where you will play a leadership role in managing a team of specialist staff. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality advice, reports, briefings, and analysis on state and local government planning policies, regulations, and legislation that impact the delivery of school infrastructure. As a strong leader, you will also guide the team in navigating the complexities of urban planning and compliance considerations for the development and construction of educational facilities.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, providing guidance and support to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in providing specialist Statutory Planning services, with a focus on compliance and navigating urban planning complexities.
- Strong adaptability to adjust performance development processes to meet diverse team needs, fostering collaborative efforts in achieving business outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning and/or relevant experience in managing a portfolio of planning projects governed by statutory instruments (such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other relevant legislation) as they affect land use and property development including licences, subdivision, rezoning and construction
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
